The Lodge on Iron Mountain set on 140 acres backing up to the Cherokee
National Forest is perfect for family vacations.
No cars to worry about,
trails to hike, open decks and porches to enjoy the sunsets over the
mountains.
The lodge can be booked as individual rooms as a Bed and Breakfast, or for a
larger group, you can rent the entire lodge as a chalet to a single group
with full use of the kitchen facilities, laundry, etc.
The bedrooms at the Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast are thoughtfully
decorated in various themes taken from the life of the Innkeeper.
Enjoy
luxuriously appointed rooms with terry robes, hair dryers, in-room
refreshments and turn-down service.
The Iron Mountain Inn B&B has "pampering
perfected". Enjoy breakfast in your room for a small service fee.

Family Memories Room
Sip coffee or tea and watch the day unfold from your private balcony. Later,
luxuriate in your whirlpool with scented salts followed by a relaxing
restorative in your steam shower before curling under fluffy comforters.
The room includes an antique king size bed, a private balcony overlooking
Sink Mountain, a whirlpool tub/shower, a steam shower and soft 300-600 tc
Egyptian cotton sheets.
Green Room
Light filled room with a view. Lie abed and watch the sun play tag with the
mountain peaks. Candles lend romance and soothing salts in your private
whirlpool soak away worries or cares at day's end. The room includes a
king size bed, 30 mile view from the private balcony, whirlpool tub/shower,
and soft 300-600 tc Egyptian cotton sheets.
Appalachian Spring Room
Snuggle together in the queen 4 poster bed and watch the birds fly past your
window. Candlelight gives a special glow to the room as you soak in your
private whirlpool tub. The room includes a 4-Poster queen sized bed, private
balcony overlooking the gardens and the mountains, a whirlpool tub/shower,
and soft 300-600 tc Egyptian cotton sheets.
Equestrian Room
Rekindle romance with your own cast iron stove – warm up the room right from
bed. Enjoy the whirlpool tub by candlelight and relax in the steam shower
after a winter's day of hiking, biking or skiing. The room includes a
king/twin size bed, a cast iron stove - remote controlled, whirlpool
tub/shower, a steam shower, and soft 300-600 tc Egyptian cotton sheets.
Near Watauga Lake with fishing, swimming, boating. Near Red Tail Mountain
Golf Resort for great mountain golfing - the ball flies forever. Appalachian
Trail runs along the ridge behind the Lodge.
Near Boone, NC and the Appalachian Summer Music Festival and skiing in
the winter;
* 45 minutes from Grandfather Mountain and the Highland Games in July;
* 30 minutes from Trade and the Indian Pow-Wow in June;
* 40 minutes from Blowing Rock and the Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill;
* 60 minutes from Abingdon and the Barter Theater for live shows geared to
children as well as adults;
* 25 minutes from Virginia Creeper Trail for great biking (rent a bike and
they take you to the top and you coast down);
* next door to Dogwood Springs Ranch for horseback riding and hay rides;
Plus, there are great restaurants when you don't want to cook; antique
and craft shopping for the unique gift to take home; a corn maze in the
fall.
Something for everyone because in every season there is a reason to
visit!

We also have a lakeside cottage on Watauga Lake and a 3 bedroom creekside
chalet that is handicapped accessible.
