There are Fishing Piers, Lighted docks, and Boat ramps for the Fisherman; and there is better than an even chance of catching a limit of Speckled Trout, because this part of the Texas Coast is famous for the reef called "the Old Car Bodies" located just off the beach right on the other side of the Boardwalk Crossover. You don't even need a Boat, just watch for the Birds diving, and cast your Lure out under the birds, off the rocks, or wade out into the water. You'll see when you get there! Because this part of the Texas Coast is on a Point of land jetting out into the Gulf, it creates really clear water on a calm day and is also Great for Snorkeling. Head out for the day on the Beach to work on your Tan, or head to Galveston for Shopping, Sight Seeing, and Dinning. Stop at a local Sea Food Market for Fresh Red Snapper and Shrimp for Dinner back at the Manor. Enjoy dinner on the deck while watching the Dolphins play in the Surf, or Enjoy the Very Best in Fresh Seafood and Steaks at the Red Snapper Inn in Surfside.
