Colorado Weather
The winters are generally dry, while temperatures alternate from very cold to surprisingly warm. Springs are windy with highly changeable weather, with occasional blizzards, large variations in temperature, and rain or wet snow. Most snow is usually expected in March. The summers are dry with hot days and comfortable nights. However, the area does receive large thunderstorms and the plains receive some of the most ferocious hail storms on the entire continent.  The falls are often dry and pleasant days.

In general, the amount of precipitation increases as you go eastward towards Kansas and Nebraska.  Colorado is prone to dry falls and winters, moist springs and summers, highly changing and sometimes unpredictable weather.  Strong winds of up to 30 miles (50 km)/hour can expected year round.
